Job summary

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a Night Shift Cat Scan Technician to join our imaging team. You'll perform CT procedures, monitor patients, and ensure safety and quality standards in a busy acute-care setting.

Candidates should be ARRT CT certified or eligible, have an associate degree or equivalent, BLS-HCP, and at least one year of radiologic experience. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registry in CT required or within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Associate degree preferred; related radiology field accepted.
• Ability to work calmly in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continuously and reports changes promptly.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions as necessary.

How you'll contribute

Cat Scan Technician, Senior who excels in this role:

• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine. Associate's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP);
• 1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures, preferred.
• ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Must be willing to work in-person and/or remotely, as needed/directed. *If not ARRT(CT), then must work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until ARRT(CT) is obtained.

Hourly Range: $30.20-39.01 per hour.
