  • Schedule: 36 hours, evenings and Saturday shifts (Wed., Thurs., Fri. 3p-11:30p; Saturday 7a-7:30p)
  • Location: Boston Medical Center, Radiology Department

Role Summary

Under supervision, the CT Technologist performs CT scans, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, maintaining safety standards, and documentation for billing.

Essential Duties
  1. Operate CT scanners to perform diagnostic procedures efficiently.
  2. Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
  3. Adjust imaging parameters for optimal results.
  4. Follow protocols for administering IV contrast, including training and competency requirements.
  5. Maintain equipment and ensure safety standards are met.
  6. Provide excellent patient care and communication.
  7. Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
  8. Support department operations, including coverage and policy adherence.
  9. Follow infection control and radiation safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification: MRST, AART, with CT license preferred.
  • State licensure and compliance with radiology education requirements.
  • 1-2 years experience in diagnostic radiology, CT experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of RIS and HIS systems, excellent interpersonal skills.
