Colquitt Regional Health System is seeking a CT Tech to operate CT equipment, power injector, and related radiographic systems in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Safety and compliance with radiation rules are essential as is coordinating with radiologists and staff.
The role includes on-call duties to maintain 24-hour coverage, supporting patient care with a focus on efficiency, documentation, and adherence to hospital policies while training student technologists as needed.
Colquitt Regional Health System is currently hiring a CT Tech who will be responsible for operation of CT equipment, power injector, as well as all Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Equipment within the Diagnostic Imaging Department, observes all radiation safety
Rules concerning patients, co-workers, self and others. Performs multiple other
Duties as designated by Director or Assistant Director.
12 hour shifts, 6 on 8 off rotation. 8:30a-9:00p
Develops and maintains a positive attitude related to work dealing with Radiologists, Physicians, and co-workers.
Demonstrates concern for patients while providing care and safety during treatment and recognizing legal implications of patient care.
Recognizes the importance of the fiscal operations of the hospital and department, utilizes work time efficiently and has knowledge of hospital policies, functions and other department functions.
Has knowledge for safe handling of equipment, fire and safety regulations and department specific regulations.
Takes call when assigned or necessary to maintain department’s ability to provide 24 hour service, performs all functions associated with Technologist duties as well as being responsible for any and all paperwork assigned.
Responsible for being proficient in venipunture and administration of contrast media after checking all patients consent for injection.
Demonstrates initiative and desire for professional growth as well as performs any and all other job duties assigned by the Director for completion of job requirements.
Is willing to teach, assist and observe student technologist with the performance of exams and evaluate when needed.
Must have knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, how to operate a CT unit and power injector in an efficient manner as well as handling the daily patient schedule timely.
Annual completion of World Health Organization hand hygiene education and training and its relationship to infection control in addition to physical demonstration and understanding of compliance monitoring.
Applicants should have an active license with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
