Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ is seeking a Cat Scan Technician (CT) to join our team. This role reviews orders, educates patients, administers contrast when needed, and ensures patient safety during imaging procedures.

The position requires graduation from a Radiologic Technology program with ARRT credentials (CT) and an associate degree preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire is required, with CT-specific preceptorships encouraged. Hospital CT experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT RT (R)(CT) or ARR T RT (R) in preceptorship.
• AZ MRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist or AZ MRT Computed Tomography Preceptorship or Temporary Computed Tomography Technologist.
• Previous hospital CT experience preferred.

• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitor patients' condition and report changes as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Implement safety standards and quality control on imaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and identify imaging quality issues.
• Take action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

How you'll contribute

A Cat Scan Technician (CT)who excels in this role:

• Review patient history and physician's order.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administer contrast media and/or medication within scope of practice.

• Prepare equipment and supplies.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program. Additional requirements include:

• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• American Registry Radiologic Technologist (AART) RT (R)(CT) or (ARRT) RT (R) in preceptorship.
• AZ MRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist or AZ MRT Computed Tomography Preceptorship or Temporary Computed Tomography Technologist.
• Previous hospital experience in CT is preferred.
