Sellenriek Construction Inc. in Missouri is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to support underground utility projects in New Florence and Montgomery City.

You will safely operate CAT equipment and cable plows, install conduit and fiber, and read prints, maps, and job layouts to ensure precise placement. The role requires working outdoors in varied weather, following safety policies, performing daily inspections, coordinating with foremen and crews, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience in construction or underground utilities.
• Experience operating cable plows, particularly CAT equipment.
• Experience with equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, trenchers, dozers, or loaders.
• Ability to read utility markings, prints, maps, and jobsite layouts.
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
• Comfortable outdoor construction work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for underground utility construction with emphasis on CAT equipment and cable plows.
• Install conduit, fiber, cable, pipe, and other underground utilities per specs.
• Perform plowing, trenching, excavation, backfilling, grading, and restoration work.
• Read and follow construction prints, utility maps, job layouts, and locate markings.
• Identify existing utilities and follow safe excavation and damage-prevention procedures.
• Monitor installation depth, alignment, and placement of underground facilities.
• Safely load, unload, and maneuver equipment around active jobsites.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Work closely with Foremen, Laborers, and other Equipment Operators to maintain production.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite procedures.
