Job summary

Second Chance Rescue Inc. (SCR) invites compassionate individuals to join our LIC facility team as an Animal Care & Facility Specialist-CATS.

You will oversee daily operations, care for resident cats, and help visitors with adoption information, ensuring a warm, safe environment. The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on animal care, a high school diploma or GED, and Fear Free Shelter certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working with animals, specifically cats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook/Instagram), email, and text messaging.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily facility operations and intake paperwork.
• Provide care and enrichment for felines.
• Maintain cleanliness of living quarters and visiting areas.
• Engage with visitors and provide information on adoptions.
• Handle animals with care and maintain a courteous demeanor.
