Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Casualty claims adjusting experience or related experience.
• Relevant insurance designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews claim notices, contracts, statutes to verify coverage and payees.
• Initiates contact with insureds and claimants to explain process and start investigation.
• Obtains statements and documents summaries in the claims system.
• Documents claim activities and reserves in compliance with policy.
• Communicates settlement offers and prepares release documents.
