Position: Senior Casualty Claims Specialist

Overview:

A high-performing and collaborative claims team is expanding and looking to bring on a Senior Casualty Claims Specialist with strong technical depth. This is a growth role supporting complex casualty claims across multiple states, with an emphasis on New York Labor Law (NYLL), Construction Defect (CD), and Bodily Injury (BI) exposures. The role is remote and offers the chance to join a smart, experienced team where your litigation strategy and coverage expertise will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage complex casualty claims from FNOL through resolution
• Analyze and draft clear coverage letters; communicate decisions to insureds, brokers, and counsel
• Handle NYLL and CD claims across key states including CA, TX, FL, IL, and the Northeast
• Lead investigations, oversee vendors/experts, and maintain control over litigation strategies
• Set reserves, provide leadership with recommendations on high-severity files
• Support team development by mentoring junior adjusters and sharing technical insight
• Participate in mediations, conferences, and trials as needed
• Maintain accurate file documentation and ensure system proficiency across platforms

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong background in Construction Defect, NY Labor Law, and General Liability
• Significant litigation management experience, including budget creation and oversight
• Proficiency in evaluating coverage issues, drafting positions, and negotiating resolutions
• Deep understanding of Risk Transfer and Recovery strategies
• Strong communication, organization, and systems skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD and insurance designations (CPCU, AIC) a plus
• Must hold or be able to obtain relevant adjusting licenses
