Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Holtsville, NY is seeking professional, customer-service oriented Waitstaff to serve meals to Residents in our luxury Independent Living Community. The successful candidate will provide excellent service in a positive, cooperative team environment.

Responsibilities include taking orders, ensuring table readiness, reading the menu to assist with selections, and helping with plating and portions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server in a restaurant or food service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with senior populations preferred but not required.

The successful candidates will have a positive attitude, the ability to provide excellent customer service and work in an upbeat and cooperative manner with fellow employees.

• Able to function in a fast paced environment
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Good communication, customer service and people skills
• Patient and able to deal with a demanding customer base
• Experience working with a senior population is preferred, but not required
• A team player, willing to help out where needed to ensure a pleasurable dining experience for our Resident's
• Familiarity with food safety, food preparation and board of health guidelines a plus
• You must have an abiding respect for seniors and be able to speak in an audible and polite manner at all time.
