Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Casual Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, collaborating with physicians and families to create individualized plans, while maintaining professional standards.

This casual role offers schedule flexibility, with typical hours 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and one weekend per month required. Licensure in PA and CCC-SLP are required, with BLS/CPR acceptable after hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification is required.
• Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current BLS/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services based on patient needs and goals.
• Obtain and assess medical history and clinical information to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Prepare documentation including evaluation, progress, and discharge notes per standards.
• Coordinate patient evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans for timely care.
• Communicate patient progress with physicians, caregivers, and team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals, progress, and home programs.
