Job summary

Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse (RN) PRN to join our skilled nursing team. You will provide high-quality nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with staff to develop effective plans of care for residents.

This on-site position offers flexible scheduling, weekend shifts per month, and a supportive leadership team dedicated to resident well-being and staff growth. A valid RN license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• PRN employees must work one weekend per month (2 shifts), two additional shifts, and a summer and winter holiday.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals with interventions put in place as needs arise to minimize rehospitalizations and continued evaluation of outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure that tasks and interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
• Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
• Relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Facility.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
