• PRN employees must work one weekend per month (2 shifts), plus two additional shifts and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance and complete evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the team to develop care plans.
• Plan and implement programs and procedures for providing quality care.
• Set realistic patient goals and monitor outcomes to minimize rehospitalizations.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate care and supervise staff to ensure tasks are performed.
• Communicate patient information across shifts.
• Work independently with residents, families, and staff during emergencies.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• PRN employees must work one (1) weekend per month (2 shifts), two (2) additional shifts, and a summer and winter holiday. This equates to four (4) shifts per month.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Evaluate performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care
• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals with interventions put in place as needs arise to minimize rehospitalizations and continued evaluation of outcomes.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure that tasks and interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
• Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents,personnel, and support agencies.
• Relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people withinthe Facility.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situation
