Job summary

Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster, PA seeks a Casual/PRN/Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join a small skilled nursing facility with a team-focused culture. The role offers flexible scheduling, daily pay options, and competitive shift differentials. PRN employees must work four shifts monthly including weekends and select holidays.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
• PRN employees must meet weekend and additional shift requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance and prepare evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the team to plan care.
• Plan and implement programs and procedures to provide quality care.
• Set realistic patient goals and monitor outcomes to minimize rehospitalizations.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Delegate duties and supervise staff to ensure tasks are carried out.
• Communicate patient information across shifts and with teams.
• Remain flexible and work well with residents, staff and support agencies.
• Assist in evacuations during emergencies.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Evaluate performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel.


• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.


• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care


• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals with interventions put in place as needs arise to minimize rehospitalizations and continued evaluation of outcomes.


• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.


• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure that tasks and interventions are implemented.


• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.


• Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.


• Relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Facility.


• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situation
