Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN/casual scheduling across ALL SHIFTS. You will support residents with assessments, care planning, and medications while collaborating with the nursing team and families.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• PRN shifts require weekend work and additional shifts per month.
• Successful completion of post offer background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance and complete evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the team to develop care plans.
• Plan, implement, and interpret programs and procedures for quality care.
• Set measurable patient goals and monitor outcomes to minimize rehospitalizations.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate and supervise patient care to staff and ensure tasks are carried out.
• Communicate patient information across shifts and with teams.
• Remain flexible, act with integrity, and work effectively with residents and families.
• Assist in evacuating residents during emergencies.

PRN employees must work one (1) weekend per month (2 shifts), two (2) additional shifts, and a summer and winter holiday. This equates to four (4) shifts per month.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• PRN employees must work one (1) weekend per month (2 shifts), two (2) additional shifts, and a summer and winter holiday. This equates to four (4) shifts per month.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Evaluate performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel.
• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care
• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals with interventions put in place as needs arise to minimize rehospitalizations and continued evaluation of outcomes.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure that tasks and interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
• Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
• Relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Facility.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situation
