The 2300 Cardiac Care and Telemetry Unit is seeking a Casual Professional Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team!
We're in search of individuals who are highly motivated, positive, team-oriented, and dedicated to their ongoing growth and development as nurses. Graduate Nurses (GNs) are encouraged to apply! Located in New Castle, PA, UPMC Jameson is a full-service community hospital currently recruiting a Professional Staff Nurse to support our 31-bed 2300 Cardiac Care and Telemetry Unit. Our unit, which focuses on cardiac care, offers enriching opportunities for both individual and team development. Ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments, our 2300 Unit fosters excitement and rapid learning due to its higher acuity setting. Professional Staff Nurses work on a rotating schedule to ensure round-the-clock coverage, and night shift programs are available.
With a diverse patient population that includes individuals with conditions such as congestive heart failure, heart attacks, and cardiac arrhythmias, our 2300 Unit provides continual learning and improvement opportunities for Professional Staff Nurses. Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education.
Responsibilities:
The individual must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care and interactions for the patient age groups served by the unit, with an understanding of growth and development over the lifespan. Minimum 2 years of experience required. BSN preferred. Must achieve and maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on performance evaluations for promotion and ongoing status. Must complete annual professional contributions aligned with corporate nursing goals. Ability to build positive relationships with staff and patients, work effectively in complex environments, and demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment are essential. Physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning is required.
