Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team in Cass City, MI. The role focuses on procuring specimens for analysis, preparing samples, and supporting LIS tasks. Casual days and afternoons with holiday coverage are required.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS within six months, and completed phlebotomy or medical assistant training, with ASCP or similar certification preferred within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant education program including clinical training; ASCP or equivalent certification preferred within one (1) year of hire or upon eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Procure specimens for analysis by the laboratory.
• Centrifuge blood samples and prepare outgoing reference lab samples.
• Work within the laboratory information system and verify orders as necessary.
• Clerical duties include distribution of lab reports, keeping inventory and ordering supplies, and answering the telephone.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures to provide quality laboratory service.
