Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare’s North Loop Pharmacy is seeking a hospital pharmacist for a casual, in-person role with varied hours. You will verify, dispense, and counsel on medications, interpret physician orders, monitor drug therapy, and lead patient-specific pharmacotherapy assessments in collaboration with clinicians.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota pharmacy license, a degree in Pharmacy, and ASHP residency or board credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from college with a degree in Pharmacy.
• Possession of a valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, prepares, compounds and accurately dispenses medications.
• Interprets physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, informs physicians of errors or discrepancies.
• Maintains patient medication profiles and monitors drug therapy outcomes.
• Monitors patient reactions to drug therapy and counsels patients.
• Supervises and trains pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Precepts Fellows, Residents or PharmD student rotations.
• Performs related work as required.
