Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association (or within 90 days of employment) is preferred or required within 90 days.
• At least 1 year of experience in patient transport is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients as assigned.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Prepare and adjust transport equipment for safety and comfort.
• Disinfect equipment between transports.
• Assist patients onto transport equipment and seek assistance if needed.
• Maintain transport equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Notify nursing or ancillary staff on arrival or departure of patients.
• Handle patient-related documents (e.g., ticket to ride).
• Report any unusual patient symptoms during transport.
• Use infection control precautions and PPE as appropriate.
• Safely transport patient oxygen after clinician setup.
• Provide feedback on equipment conditions and availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
