Job summary

Colonial School District in Delaware is seeking a Substitute School Nurse to support student health services across district schools. This casual/seasonal position follows a Monday through Friday schedule of 7.5 hours per day, with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch.

You will provide direct care for students, administer first aid, monitor chronic conditions, and participate in field trips. Must hold a BSN, an active RN license, CPR certification, and pass a background check with no Child Abuse Registry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
• Active RN license recognized by state board.
• CPR certification required.
• Clear background; no child abuse registry entries.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for students: acute illness, injury, and emotional needs; manage chronic conditions.
• Administer first aid according to established procedures.
• Observe and monitor students for health needs; attend field trips as needed.
• Maintain required paperwork within deadlines; follow district policies.
