Job summary

Metro Community Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Full Time Sous Chef to support our community meals and event catering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for Metro events including on-site staff meals and food truck events.

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Break down and clean the food truck at shift end.
• Communicate ideas and concerns to the Mobile Chef in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in the production of food for all Metro events including on-site staff meals and food truck events.
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene codes and standards.
• Participate in the daily cleaning of all Community Kitchen equipment.
• Assist in breaking down and cleaning the food truck at the end of each shift.
• Communicate ideas and concerns to the Mobile Chef in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience

• Culinary Arts Degree
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent level
• 2 years working as a sous chef.
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certification

Physical Requirements:
