Citrus County is offering a temporary employment opportunity as a Public Safety Assistant, responsible for ensuring safety at boat ramps and parks. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and the ability to work in various weather conditions. This role involves excellent customer service, flexible scheduling, and adherence to safety guidelines.
This is a temporary employment opportunity not to exceed six (6) consecutive calendar months.
This position provides assistance and monitoring of public safety at the local boat ramps, docks, piers and walkways. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. The number of hours per week will vary.
Basis of Rating:Some positions may require a written and/or skills test. Applications will be carefully reviewed to assess each individuals’ qualifications. Selected persons will be interviewed to determine who will be hired for the job. The kind and length of related work experience, training and education shown on the application will be an important consideration in the screening process.
Must successfully pass an employment reference check and criminal background check. Drug screens will be in accordance with the Drug Free Workplace Act and/or the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991.
