Job summary

Orange City Area Health System is seeking a casual AM Cook Assistant/Salad to work with the cook to set up meal trays for patients, and to prepare salads, salad bar items, and desserts for patients, staff and visitors.

The role includes washing dishes, operating the dish machine, stocking items, assisting in the cafeteria and may cross-train as a cook. Location is Orange City, IA, and schedule is 6:00 am – 2:00 pm on weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• They must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, salad bar, and desserts for patients, staff and visitors.
• Set up meal trays for patients with the cook.
• Wash dishes and operate the dish machine.
• Stock items and help run the POS system in the cafeteria.
• May cross-train as a cook.
