Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Immediate Care Technician for the McHenry clinic. This Casual position provides coverage for vacation and sick leave with 12-hour shifts. One shift every two weeks, plus one summer and one winter holiday.

Flexibility to float to other clinics may be required. Must be a CMA or EMT and support physicians and APPs by facilitating patient flow and performing related admin tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification options within six months: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA; certification required upon hire if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and document patient information.
• Assist MD/APP with procedures and referrals as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe treatment areas.
• Promote patient satisfaction and confidentiality.
