Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Academic Technologies group withthe development of innovative artificial intelligence-powered solutions that enhance data visualization and communication / education capabilities.
  • Leverages artificial intelligence to develop dynamic video content for a variety of audiences, focusing on concept explanations, interactive storytelling, visual problem-solving guides, and animated tutorials.
  • Generates compelling narratives, produce eye-catching visuals, and simplify complex ideas into easily digestible lessons.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of various artificial intelligence and computer science projects, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Participate in the planning, execution and reporting of information technology projects, applying project management skills and agile practices.
  • Learn and stay updated on the latest trends, best practices and developments in the data science and artificial intelligence landscape and participate in relevant training and outreach activities.
  • Maintains effective communication with staff, management and executive at both internal and external organizations as required to support Information Technology Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent education/training or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing dynamic video content using artificial intelligence technologies and computer science skills, including being able to provide examples of previous work.
  • Demonstrated ability in producing visual and dynamic content for a variety of audiences, including being able to simplify complex ideas and generate interactive and compelling content.
  • Demonstrated ability with the planning and execution of information technology projects applying project management skills
  • Working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in computer science, programming and artificial intelligence technology and techniques demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of technology, systems, hardware and software associated with artificial intelligence, data science and visualization and computer programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
  • Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in generating concept explanations, interactive storytelling, visual problem-solving guides, and animated tutorials to understand oral and written documentation using artificial intelligence and computer science.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in small teams to develop technically thorough, creative and reliable products of high-quality output.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively simplify and communicate complex concepts and terminologies to an audience comprised primarily of undergraduate students.
