Job description

Job Summary: Responsible for the instructional delivery of assigned educational program(s). Monitors the overall operations, including development, implementation, and evaluation of various programs, making revisions as needed. Has the ability to teach program content and ensures alignment with HACC's Strategic Plan and compliance with Middle State Standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree with 5 years of experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to perform essential duties.

Licensing Requirements: ACT 120 required. Must meet MPOETC instructor certification requirements or possess certification. Valid driver's license.

Hiring Range: $29.65

Job Specific Task List:

  1. Coordinates law enforcement, security, and civilian training programs for efficient scheduling and qualified instructor assignment. (Essential)
  2. Prepares training calendar; assigns instructors, rooms, firing range, driving pad, and tactical building. (Essential)
  3. Develops, writes, and implements training programs and contracts. (Essential)
  4. Assigns instructors to facilitate programs. (Essential)
  5. Evaluates instructor performance and program content. (Essential)
  6. Reviews handouts and ensures availability of course materials. (Essential)
  7. Implements disciplinary actions for students and instructors when necessary. (Essential)
  8. Maintains training equipment and facilities, and initiates ordering of supplies. (Essential)
  9. Reviews instructor payroll and timesheets bi-weekly; serves as proxy for online payroll approval. (Essential)
  10. Processes monthly billings, invoices, and travel reimbursements for approval. (Essential)
  11. Communicates with staff, instructors, students, and clients to ensure efficient operation of the Law Enforcement Training Unit. (Essential)
  12. Handles range responsibilities and scheduling. (Essential)
  13. Conducts community outreach, including tours and events. (Essential)
  14. Coordinates continuing education and professional development for instructors. (Essential)
  15. Prepares 335 Forms for new courses. (Essential)
  16. Updates spreadsheets and class confirmations. (Essential)
  17. Instructs students; develops and delivers curriculum including lectures, discussions, quizzes, and exams. (Essential)
  18. Reviews curricula for compliance with standards and revises as needed. (Essential)
  19. Monitors proper use and care of equipment during training. (Essential)
  20. Develops and manages curricula across delivery modes. (Essential)
  21. Travel may be required. (Essential)
