Job summary

NOV in Tulsa is seeking a Foundry Grinding Technician to clean, grind, and finish metal castings to meet quality standards and customer specs. This role supports production by preparing castings for shipment and may assist in other foundry tasks.

You will operate grinders, chippers, saws, and blasting equipment, inspect for defects, and perform routine maintenance on tools. Lifting up to 50 lbs and a loud, temperature-variable environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Entry level – high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating grinding or cutting equipment in a manufacturing or metalworking environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand-held and stationary tools to remove excess material from castings.
• Grind, smooth, and finish castings to meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Inspect castings for defects and report issues to supervisors or leads.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily safety checks on tools and equipment.
• Safely move materials using hoists, cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.
• Support added foundry tasks such as core, mold, melting, pouring, and shakeout.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with policies.
