Description

Summary:
Weld operator to weld repair aerospace magnesium parts and aluminum sand castings. Actual welding time will encompass approximately 20–30 hours per week. This role also involves prepping parts for welding, welding, and other duties within Chicago Magnesium.

Responsibilities

1. Review & inspect all materials used, incorporating self-inspection into all processes.
2. Complete, date, and sign off on all routing information; apply weld stamps where applicable; input required production data/reporting.
3. Machine and prepare castings for weld plugs and plug castings.
4. Machine excess stock from castings using milling machines.
5. Wear proper safety equipment; maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
6. Accurately scan in and out on jobs and report processed quantities properly.
7. Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management.
