Job summary

Waupaca Foundry, Inc. in Waupaca, WI is seeking a Tooling Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to assist with CAD data design and modifications for foundry tooling, creating 3D models for mold and core tooling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC Machining and 3D CAD systems used in tooling design.
• Ability to create 3D models from 2D layout drawings.
• Understands non-uniform shrink, draft and offset parting applied to models.

Responsibilities

• Work with tooling engineers on design, configuration and layout of mold and core tooling.
• Layout multiple cavity tooling as directed by tooling engineering.
• Design cores including print area to satisfy casting requirements.
