Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Design Engineer for the Casting Facility in Dover, New Jersey. You will design tooling and fixtures for wax pattern and core dies, evaluate dimensional data, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve casting yields.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of design experience in manufacturing. Proficiency with Unigraphics and CAD tools is preferred, along with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Minimum 3 years design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
• US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Tool design for wax pattern, core dies, gating dies, and support tooling with focus on wax/core tooling.
• Communicates with Tooling Process Owner/Technical Director on design concepts and improvements.
• Evaluates dimensional data using 3D tools to improve tool design and casting yield.
• Collaborates with Product/Process Engineering to analyze dimensional results and improve yields.
• Interfaces with shop floor and tooling personnel to implement tooling improvements.
• Supports design for manufacturing and automation readiness in production.
