Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking an operator to rotate through shell removal, cleaning, gritblast, waterblast, and related processes to support casting production.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, accurate part handling, and training of peers, with attention to PPE and process documentation. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to work across multiple blasting and finishing steps, lift 30–50 pounds, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must rotate through all cleaning/shell removal processes.
• Cleaning and blasting skills; knowledge of blasting machines and gating.
• Equivalent training and/or work experience accepted.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Read process sheets and routers accurately.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Physically capable for required tasks and lifting 30–50 pounds.
• Able to work in noisy, dusty, chemical, and high-temperature environments.
• Ability to stand through entire shift and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through shell removal, cleaning, and associated processes.
• Operate equipment safely and monitor performance of blasting and washing.
• Move parts between operations and ensure proper part identification.
• Train other operators on job accountabilities.
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness and defects during/after processing.
• Complete logs and production records as directed.
