Job summary

PDM, a leader in the HVAC industry with nearly 50 years of experience, is looking for mechanically inclined, self-starter individuals to join our team as Casting Operators! Our copper mill operates 24/7, and you'll be a crucial part of our operation, helping to produce top-quality products in a high-tech environment.

Shift is 2-2-3, 6:50 am - 7 pm (training from 6:50 AM - 7 PM for 1-3 months). You will set up, operate, and maintain casting equipment, monitor critical process parameters, and help

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in hot/cold environments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Clear communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain casting equipment to ensure continuous production.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and manage casting molds.
• Monitor process parameters like cooling water and gas flow.
• Detect malfunctions, adjust settings and maintain detailed records.
• Communicate issues and work with the team to maintain safety and efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Casting Operator, you'll have a hands-on role setting up, operating, and maintaining casting equipment. Your main focus will be on ensuring continuous, efficient production with minimal downtime.

• Perform basic machine maintenance, manage casting molds, and control critical process parameters like cooling water and gas flow.
• Stay alert to detect malfunctions, adjust settings, and keep detailed records to ensure product quality.
• Responds appropriately and efficiently to unplanned process or equipment issues to help maintain safe and steady operations.
• Communicate issues clearly, suggest improvements, and work closely with your team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
