Job summary

Premier Aluminum is seeking a Casting Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Racine, WI. Set molds and operate permanent mold casting machines; assist on setups and maintenance under general supervision.

Wages start at $22.50+ per hour based on experience, with a $1.50 per hour shift premium. Work days are Monday to Thursday, 3:45pm to 1:45am. Eligible for a $250 monthly attendance/safety bonus, plus a competitive benefits package and monthly employee events.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills – counting, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division.
• Solid work history in a manufacturing setting.
• Mechanical abilities suitable for casting operations.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate permanent mold casting machines to produce quality castings to specifications.
• Perform basic setup procedures under general supervision.
• Tend furnaces – load charge and maintain temperatures.
• Pour metal into molds and adjust procedures for material and mold conditions.
• Inspect pieces and correct variations; perform finishing work as needed.
• Follow process sheets and perform routine maintenance.
