Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with casting and forging experience to support supplier audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement within Peoria's supply chain. The role collaborates with engineering, purchasing, and sourcing to ensure conformance and quality across products.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering field, 4–8 years in foundry/supplier quality, and knowledge of APQP/PPAP/FMEA. Travel is required; ISO auditing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 4–8 years of hands-on foundry and supplier quality experience.
• CQE or CQM certification preferred (ASQ).
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Gauge R&R.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• ISO internal auditing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct supplier audits to ensure processes and quality systems meet requirements.
• Lead activities to prevent non-conforming product with supplier and internal teams.
• Administer the Corrective Action System for product non-conformance.
• Analyze data and prioritize supplier improvement actions.
• Manage PPAP for new and revised parts and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain ISO 9001 procedures and quality documentation.
• Support safety initiatives and cross-functional QC Circle activities.
