Williamson Health is seeking a Casting Technician to provide casting services at the Bone and Joint Institute. The role involves applying casts, adjusting orthopedic devices, and assisting in surgical settings. Provides casting services to patients of the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee.
Formal Education / Training: High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program and coursework in applying casts and orthopedic devices preferred.
Workplace Experience: At least one year as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Orthopedic Surgical Technician, or related role. Prior experience as a Casting Technician preferred.
Equipment and Skills Training: Knowledge of orthopedic devices, bracing, and casting activities. Ability to operate standard medical office equipment and software, and perform clinical tasks under supervision.
Physical Environment: Family medical practice office.
Physical Effort: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive standing, and have correctable vision and hearing, including color discernment. Must communicate effectively in English.
