Job summary

Coastal Orthopedics in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Cast Technician to support the clinical team and help patients recover with casts, braces, and dressings. You will apply and remove casts, perform dressing changes, and document care in the EMR.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic. Relevant CMA/EMT experience preferred; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential preferred, or EMT/Paramedic experience.
  • Strong patient‑service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Apply and remove casts, splints, dressings, sutures, and staples
  • Perform dressing changes using proper aseptic techniques
  • Assemble, fit, adjust, and maintain orthopedic braces and support devices
  • Educate patients on the care and maintenance of casts, braces, dressings, and other orthopedic equipment
  • Accurately document patient information, charges, and treatment‑related data in the electronic medical record system
  • Support physicians and clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care
