Job summary

Cook Children’s in Prosper, TX is seeking a Cast Technician to provide specialized orthopedic technical and clinical support in a busy specialty clinic. The role includes applying, modifying, repairing, and removing casts, splints, braces, and other devices under physician supervision.

The position also performs Medical Assistant functions to assist with patient intake, examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring efficient clinic operations and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience providing clinical support as a Medical Assistant or Cast Technician is required.
• Experience performing orthopedic casting, splinting, bracing, or related tasks.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Apply, modify, repair, and remove casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices under physician direction.
• Support patient intake, examinations, treatments, procedures, documentation, and clinic operations as a Medical Assistant.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to provide safe, age-appropriate care.
