Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests, team members, and assets at our Las Vegas property. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring security systems, responding to emergencies, handling incident reports, and delivering courteous guest service.

Requirements include at least 1 year in security or related roles, ability to complete the Security Officer Academy, and eligibility to work in the United States. Training in first aid and de-escalation is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in security, customer service, or related role.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to successfully complete company Security Officer Academy.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to operate vehicles, radios, and security equipment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including exterior areas, on foot, bicycle, or in a company vehicle.
• Monitor alarm systems, surveillance cameras, access control systems and other security equipment.
• Deliver excellent guest service, responding to questions, complaints, and/or conflicts in a professional manner.
• Respond to physical threats, altercations, or aggressive behavior.
• Engage in self‑defense and defense tactics when necessary.
• De‑escalate and resolve conflicts to minimize force.
• Act as a first responder during emergencies (medical, fire, etc).
• Write detailed and accurate incident reports on accidents or unusual occurrences.
