Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is seeking a Floor Technician responsible for maintaining clean and attractive public and employee areas under supervision. Duties include operating floor care equipment, performing stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning, marble polishing, upholstery cleaning, and coordinating with others.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and prior cleaning experience; familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is valued; gaming compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent is preferred
• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals is preferred
• Experience in deep cleaning upholstery, carpet care, and waxing floors is preferred
• Experience using professional commercial pressure washing equipment
• Must possess outstanding guest service skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Must have high standards of cleanliness
• Must conduct yourself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida and departmental policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractors and vacuums cleaners.
• Handles floor care, stripped and wax, carpet cleaning and shampoo, marble cleaning and polishing, upholstery cleaning. Moving tables and chairs as require.
• Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects.
• Assist supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures.
• Tags equipment for repairs and advise supervisor.
• Maintenance and cleaning equipment.
• Performs Floor Attendant job duties if needed
• Follows all safety requirements and procedure require for the position.
