Job summary
Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is hiring for a Drop Count position. Under supervision, you will handle currency from casino gaming devices, count and verify cash drops, and prepare reports for accounting. You must meet high school equivalency and obtain a gaming license as required by the Maryland Lottery & Gaming Commission.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Ability to accurately read, write, and count money.
- Must handle currency and tickets with accuracy under time pressure.
Responsibilities
- Open, remove and secure currency from slot machines and table games.
- Adhere to all Drop/Count policies and procedures.
- Accurately count currency and tickets from gaming devices.
- Operate currency counters and ticket counters.
- Record currency from bill acceptors and table game boxes.
- Prepare and bundle currency drops for verification.
- Create reports on counts and enter into the accounting system.
- Inform supervisors of discrepancies or variances.
- Maintain a clean and secure work area.
- Work in a 24/7 casino environment with smoking allowed.
