Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to perform deep cleaning of casino floor areas, restrooms, slot banks, and gaming chairs. You will operate lifts and floor machines to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Position requires working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety procedures; training and supportive supervision are provided through Facilities Management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school education or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfortable working at high heights on an aerial lift.
• Able to use and control various mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Operating sweeping riders and walk-behind cleaning equipment.
• Able to use ladders and handle ground-level cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of all floor surface areas, restrooms, slot machines, and high dusting.
• Detailing restrooms including tile, grout, edges, toilets, sinks, walls and stalls.
• Daily use of deep cleaning machinery including floor cleaners and vacuums.
• Clean and maintain all tile floors, hardwood and other flooring.
• Move furniture and cleaning equipment as needed; operate vacuum cleaners and floor machines.
• Deep clean slot machines, table games, and casino chairs; use lifts to reach elevated areas.

• Responsible for deep cleaning of all floor surface areas, restrooms, slot machines, and high dusting.
• Detailing restrooms including but not limited to tile floor, grout, edging, toilets, sinks, walls, stalls, vents, ceiling tiles etc.
• Daily use of deep cleaning machinery including side-by-sides, heavy duty floor cleaners, wet and dry industrial vacuums.
• Clean & maintain all tile floors including grout.
• Clean & maintain all hardwood and other flooring as needed.
• Clean and maintain all floor cleaning equipment.
• Moving and cleaning furniture as needed.
• Deep cleaning of slot machines & slot banks, this includes tops, sides, bases & chairs.
• Deep clean Table Games, Slots, and all other Casino / Gaming chairs.
• Daily use of lifts to a Hight of 40 foot or more.
• High dusting as needed using lift.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace: i.e., clean, etc. as directed
• Assist the Maintenance Department as needed
• Report to the Facilities Management any hazardous or threatening condition
• Provide positive communication and use ACES Training skills with ever patron and co-worker.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school education or general education degree (GED) required; or one to three months related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be comfortable working at high heights on an aerial lift.
• Must be able to use and control various mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Operating sweeping rider and walk-behind cleaning equipment
• Able to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas
• Transporting supplies to and from work areas
• Moving furniture, equipment, and other misc. items as directed.
• Operate the following equipment to include but not limited to; vacuum cleaners, floor machines, mop, broom, and aerial lift.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
