Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality in East Hazel Crest, IL, seeks a Main Banker to manage large currency transactions and maintain accurate records. This role requires initiative, organization, and strict adherence to gaming regulations. Reports to the Player Services Supervisor.

The Main Banker handles jackpots, cash vault balances, and various payouts while ensuring security of casino funds. 21+ and a valid Illinois Gaming Board license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled with GED within 6 months.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Two years of high-volume cash handling experience.
• Proficiency with ten key calculator; pass skills test at least 70%.
• Proficient in math and color perception; pass tests at least 70%.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Technical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable in kiosk operations (preferred).
• Must pass interview, including guest service audition.
• Excellent oral and written English communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
• Ability to make precise decisions without compromising integrity.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team player, able to work with all levels.
• Able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Willing to travel for training; flexible hours including nights/weekends/holidays.
• Illinois Gaming Act license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Counts down and balances the vault at shift start and end.
• Completes and signs accountability forms.
• Handles jackpots and verifies cash turn-ins and payouts.
• Conducts even money exchanges and cashier transactions.
• Maintains security and accountability of casino funds in the Main Bank.
• Prepares bank deposits and settlement sheets.
• Performs kiosk fills and prepares cassettes and coin bags.
• Performs routine maintenance on currency and coin equipment.
• Diagnoses problems and keeps equipment operational.
• Performs related guest services duties as needed.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality of all gaming records.
