Overview

The Casing Driller (Deep Foundation and Tie Back Driller) is a key member of the frontline team responsible for drilling holes, monitoring their condition, and leading crews in the operation and maintenance of drilling equipment. The role involves working outdoors year-round, sometimes in extreme conditions, and performing strenuous physical labor.

We specialize in emergency landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting, operating across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Our expertise and proprietary tools enable us to address various slope stability and foundation issues in diverse geologic settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks, including greasing, to ensure drilling equipment operates optimally.
• Communicate effectively within the team and with supervisors regarding maintenance needs.
• Apply knowledge of drill upkeep and preventive maintenance to prolong equipment life and maintain cleanliness.
• Accurately complete drill logs and maintain as-built documentation.
• Provide regular updates to Superintendents and address concerns promptly.
• Work safely in loud environments and wear all required PPE.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of geotechnical experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to meet daily production targets
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to three weeks at a time
• Proficiency in welding
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical labor
• Knowledge of various tooling and drilling techniques
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid CDL
• Managerial experience

Work Environment

• Work in diverse climates, from tropical to desert environments
• Moderate noise levels; hearing protection often required
• Exposure to construction site hazards
• Heavy lifting of materials (50 lbs+)

Hourly rate: $28.00 to $35.00
