Job description

General Description:

The Cashier is the face of The Great Greek to our customers. A cashier needs to be outgoing and friendly to ensure the best possible experience for each and every guest. They greet guests as they walk in, guide them through the ordering process, and suggestively sell all menu items. Efficiently use menu screens to ring up customers correctly. Cashiers must communicate well with others and handle themselves professionally in high-stress situations.

Job Requirements:

  1. Good Customer Service Skill is the primary requirement
  2. Greets all guests
  3. Accurate cash handling and credit card procedures
  4. Accurate order taking, including repeating order to customer at time of order and delivery of food
  5. Setting up or closing down the dining room, restrooms, and patios
  6. Answering the phones using all aspects of The Great Greek script requirements and taking call-in orders
  7. Directing customers inside the restaurant
  8. Helping pre-bus and cleaning the dining room during service while not on the register
  9. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area as outlined by city health codes
  10. Assist with opening and closing restaurant duties and re-stocking
  11. Smile, be friendly, and polite
  12. Assist expo whenever possible
  13. Be able to explain the menu and suggestively sell to all customers

Qualifications:

  1. Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  2. Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  3. Reliable transportation
  4. Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
