Job summary

Divine Child High School is seeking a friendly, outgoing cafeteria cashier to assist students and staff, handle payments, and perform light food preparation. You will help ensure a warm, welcoming dining experience and keep the cafeteria tidy for the next service.

You will operate the POS, balance your drawer at the end of each shift, greet customers, answer questions, and cross-train with teammates to promote ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Dependability in attendance and drawer management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency for cash handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS, delivering an accurate transaction record.
• Balance drawer at the end of every shift.
• Manage drawer contents during shift, including drops per policy.
• Greet customers cheerfully and meet their needs at checkout.
• Answer questions or refer to staff for product specifics.
• Keep the POS area neat and present a professional counter.
• Cross-train with other cashiers for ongoing development.
• Some food prep.
• Portioning of food products.
• Clean the cafeteria and kitchen area at shift end.

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing cashiers that enjoy working and serving people to include some light food prep. The primarily responsible is customer serves in helping students and staff with payment their purchases. Customer service is very important that makes it vitally important for cashiers to do more than just ring orders—you also want to be knowledgeable about food that is being served and cheerful when you encounter customer. That way, you help to enhance their experience when dining in the cafeteria by making the cafeteria a warm and welcoming place for them have their lunch. Cleaning and restocking of items as need for the next day’s service. Help to prepare food for the concession stand or DCHS after school feeder.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate the POS, while accurately and efficiently delivering an error-free record of the transaction.
• Balanced drawer at the end of every shift.
• Take responsibility for and manage the contents of your drawer during your shift,
• including making drops as per school policy.
• Greet customers cheerfully as they enter the cafeteria or approach the register, ensuring all their needs are met.
• Answer customer questions or refer them to the staff who can best provide answers if the information is specific to a certain product.
• Keep the POS area neat and orderly, including any merchandise presented at
• check-out, presenting a professional and clean counter to customers.
• Cross-train with other cashiers to promote continuous professional development.
