About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Cashiering team’s mission is to ensure accurate, timely movement of funds across customer brokerage and retirement accounts while delivering a compliant, high-quality client experience. We operate with ethics and precision at the center of everything we do to protect our customers' assets. Our team works closely with partners in Compliance, Operations, and Technology to streamline cashiering processes. We foster a supportive, collaborative environment where team members work together to solve complex operational challenges! Our collective goal is to build trusted, scalable financial processes that support Robinhood's growth.

As a Cashiering Specialist, you will manage high-volume cashiering workflows—primarily reviewing check deposits, but also ACH, wire, and other brokerage transactions—serving as a key operational link between advisors, clients, custodians, and internal partners. In this position, you will execute transactions with high accuracy and efficiency while adhering to strict regulatory requirements. You will collaborate daily with advisors and internal operations teams to resolve inquiries and transaction discrepancies. Your work directly impacts the customer experience by ensuring that fund movements are completed seamlessly. This role provides an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of financial markets and back-office operations!

This role is based in our Clearwater, FL office(s), with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week during the 6-month onboarding period. After onboarding, in-person attendance is expected at least 3 days a week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do
  • Process a high volume of check deposits efficiently, and in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage daily transaction queues to meet strict deadlines and service-level expectations, researching and resolving discrepancies and inquiries from initial intake to final resolution.
  • Serve as a primary contact for advisors, their staff, and clients across phone, email, and internal systems, providing clear updates and a seamless, professional experience.
  • Partner with our clearing firm and internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Technology, Advisor Services) to facilitate transactions, resolve issues, and support collaborative projects across these departments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client experience within cashiering operations.
What you bring
  • Strong knowledge of cashiering procedures, workflows, and regulatory considerations, along with a basic understanding of financial markets and the securities industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, including excellent data entry, written, and verbal communication, and comfort engaging with clients and advisors over the phone.
  • 1-2 years experience in financial operations—preferably in banking—and confidence handling transactional workflows using proprietary banking software.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills, with accountability for results and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
What we offer
  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund that gives eligible US employees the opportunity to invest in a private employee fund that provides exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds.
  • Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not.
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.
