Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate POS to process student transactions and manage balances.
• Keep station stocked and assist with serving meals and a la carte items.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, customers.
• Assist with setup and cleanup before and after meal service.
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs.
• Communicate inventory, feedback, or account concerns with team.
• Help with stocking, basic kitchen tasks, or supporting teammates.

Cashier – Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at York Public Schools
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am-2pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role, you’ll help create a positive experience for students by providing friendly, efficient service while managing transactions and supporting smooth daily meal service. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team.

What You’ll Do

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process student transactions and manage account balances
• Keep your station stocked and ready while helping serve meals and a la carte items during service
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions accurately
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers, helping create a welcoming environment.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up before and after meal service
• Support food safety standards and complete basic logs or records as needed
• Communicate with your team and supervisors about inventory, customer feedback, or account concerns
• Jump in where needed—help with stocking, basic kitchen tasks, or supporting teammates
