Job summary

Mayesh Wholesale Florist Inc. in Oxnard, CA is hiring for a full-time cashier/warehouse associate. You will provide clerical and warehouse support to maintain an efficient operation while processing customer purchases and payments at the point of sale.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Responsibilities include invoicing, deposits, inventory control, order packing, and assisting in receiving and staging product for timely order fulfillment. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Entry-level friendly with potential for growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cash register and total customer purchases accurately.
• Close out daily sales and prepare cash deposits.
• Maintain safe, clean checkout and comply with policies and regulations.
• Receive and stage product for orders to maximize efficiencies.
• Count and document inventory and assist with packing orders.
• Support warehouse team with receiving and quality control.

Mayesh Wholesale Florist Inc. has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Oxnard, CA Team! We are a Direct Shipper and Wholesale Supplier of high quality cut flowers from around the world - we sell wholesale flowers!

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides clerical and warehouse support to others in the warehouse to maintain an efficient warehouse environment. Obtains payment for goods by itemizing and totaling customer's purchases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Flexible

CASHIER DUTIES

• Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register.
• Responsible for closing out sales day
• Prepare cash deposits for Bank
• Petty Cash Distribution
• Invoicing
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number; operating credit card authorization system.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

WAREHOUSE DUTIES - Supports Warehouse Team with the following duties

• Receiving product
• Inform buyer of shortages and quality issues
• Staging product for order pulling for maximum efficiencies
• Processing
• Sales floor display
• Inventory control / maintenance
• Rotation
• Pulling and documenting orders per branch guidelines
• Packing orders per branch specifications
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards
• Comprehension of warehouse floor plan, i.e. sales floor, inventory, orders, equipment storage

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Business college training an advantage
• Previous office experience may be requested but this can also be entry level position
• Competent computer skills including, excel, word
• Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and data collection
