Job summary

Aramark in Jackson, MS is seeking a part-time cashier who welcomes guests, processes transactions, and balances cash with accuracy. You will greet customers, assist with needs, and adhere to cash handling policies while maintaining a clean work area.

The role may involve opening/closing duties, stocking, and following safety procedures. Prior cash handling and customer service experience are preferred, with trainings as required by location.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location.

Responsibilities

• Operate a register/POS accurately and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating needs.
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer and prepare deposits.
• Follow Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
• Know merchandise to assist customers and process transactions accurately.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned based on hours.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during and after service.
• Keep location stocked and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
• Adheres to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
• Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
