Base pay range

$16.50/hr - $25.40/hr

Provides support as a member of the Customer Service & E-Commerce team, including assisting customers during check-out, performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and working at the customer service desk. Maintains attractive customer service displays and supports Whole Foods Market's Customer Service vision. All retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Adheres to store SOPs and supports company values, programs, initiatives, and health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
  • Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcohol and taxation.
  • Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
  • Uses proper tare procedures for scalable items.
  • Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including register maintenance.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures, exceeding regional variance policies.
  • May assist in training new Cashier Team Members.
  • Helps control customer flow and reduce wait times.
  • Participates in company programs as directed.
  • Arrives on time, groomed, dressed, and ready; attends trainings and meetings.
  • Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs promptly, and models suggestive selling; answers phones courteously.
  • Maximizes sales through proper product prep, storage, and merchandising.
  • Follows established procedures including safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work environment and equipment.
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures signage and pricing accuracy.
  • Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, pulling.
  • Perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Handle FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Work in varying temperatures and environments.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Operate tools and heavy machinery, possibly using ladders.
