Job description

Join to apply for the Cashier/Team Member/Early Morning role at Michaels Stores.

Store - WOOSTER, OH

Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store including maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.

Responsibilities include:
  • Helping customers shop, locate products, and providing solutions
  • Providing a fast and friendly checkout experience; executing cash handling to standards
  • Engaging customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completing enrollments
  • Educating customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Assisting with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
  • Completing merchandise recovery and store maintenance, including return/go back process and store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store
  • Performing Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
  • Supporting shrink and safety programs
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure compliance with laws and standards
  • Interacting respectfully with others, remaining positive, and promoting the organization’s values
  • Cross training in Custom Framing selling and production
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Other duties as assigned.

Experience required:
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
Physical requirements and work environment:
  • Standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes, using ladders or equipment to access high shelves
  • Work may include outdoor tasks, nights, weekends, and early mornings
